1. Mai Chau’s Golden Rice Season – What Makes It Distinct From Other Northwest Regions?
While ripe rice fields in Mu Cang Chai or Hoang Su Phi are characterized by grand, majestic terraced fields carved into steep mountain slopes, Mai Chau's golden rice season offers a charmingly unique beauty: serene, gentle, and complete.

-
Pleasant Seasonal Transition: October marks the arrival of the first gentle autumn cold spells. With cool weather, mild daytime sunshine, and crisp evenings, it offers the perfect climate for a relaxing getaway.

2. The Year's Final Rice Harvest – Why You Shouldn't Miss It?
Unlike many regions that cultivate only one rice crop per year, Mai Chau celebrates two distinct harvests: The Chiêm Crop (May – June) and The Mùa Crop (September – October).
The October harvest is the final crop of the year. This is when the rice plants have absorbed the full richness of earth and sky throughout the summer, bursting into full golden bloom with plump, fragrant grains.
⚠️ A Note from Mai Chau Ecolodge: The peak golden period lasts only about 2 to 3 weeks before local farmers begin harvesting. If you hesitate, you will have to wait until next summer to witness this magical scene again!

3. Experience the Golden Rice Season to the Fullest at Mai Chau Ecolodge
