By doing that can keep and advertise local culture and world’s travelers will soon know Mai Chau as an ecotourism hot spot”.
Though Mai Chau Ecolodge is just an unit merely join the chain services, it still brings work and incoming money to local people: Approximately 95% of MCE staffs are local people of Thai and Dao, approximately 95% of MCE staffs are local people of Thai and Dao, having 3,500,000 VND each person as monthly salary. Moreover, Mai Chau Ecolodge did make change to career thoughts of workers, changing their opinions to a better job instead of doing farm works, especially the youth.
Although is a new operational ecolodge, MCE’s customers are pretty many. 80% of them are foreigners. This brings jobs for handmade brocade villages and mountain ecotourism villages. At the beginning, MCE collaborated with some brocade woven, wine and wicker workshop in Lac, Pom Coong and Na Cut mountain villages byreleasing tour maps to guide tourists visiting and buying goods and souvenir there.“ Mai Chau Ecolodge will combine with local people in order to unite advertising and making more local handmade products. Concretely, MCE will send a deputy to any local meeting if invited to give opinion to build cultural and ecological, environmental protecting or education propaganda models”- said Mr. Huy.
Mai Chau is considered as a good and steady resort. All villages stay with same environment without bad affection after 10 years of developing travel. According to Mr.Quang Huy, Mai Chau has its potential to be one of Vietnam's great ecotourism travel spots. However, all plans need to be together, the environment must be clean both out side the town and inside the villages, cultural identity has to be immoveable and the consciousness about responsible tourism must go deep inside people’s mind. Also service ways need to bring both Thai culture and cosy style to customers, and how to make the most effective advertisement.
